Aya Cash of the Boys is willing to join the X-Men universe. Even though Marvel sold the X-Men film rights to 20th Century Fox in the 1990s, the mutant squad is set to return home. The X-Men will be returning to Marvel after the recent closing of the Fox/Disney contract. As a result, fans have started to speculate on how the X-Men would fit into the larger MCU.
“X-Men was my favorite show as a child. So, in my fantasy world, I’d be in the Phoenix Rising universe” ScreenGeek was informed by Cash. “I wished I could have been a member of the X-Men universe. And if another chance arises – X-Men Geriatrics – they are welcome to contact me at any time.”
Aya Cash Artwork as Jean Grey
ApexForm, a digital artist, was intrigued by the idea and began work on a new piece of fan art featuring Aya Cash as Jean Grey. “I love her on the boys,” the artist writes in the caption, “and she has the look and acting chops to pull off jean grey as well as Dark Phoenix.” A look at the fan art makes it even easier to picture Cash in the part, which you can see for yourself below.
The Boys chose a gender swapped Stormfront featuring Aya Cash instead of the graphic novel’s Stormfront. The Show’s Stormfront, unlike her comic book equivalent, is a cunning and deceptive supe who uses the influence of social media to subtly advance her Nazi ideologies.
Within the X-Men universe, Jean Grey, Rogue, and Beast are among the most common characters. Jean Grey is a telepathic and telekinetic telepath who is bonded to the Phoenix Force. Rogue has the ability to absorb the powers and memories of those she comes into contact with; as a result, she views her capacities as a curse rather than a blessing.
Finally, Beast is a blue ape-like creature with super strength and a genius-level intelligence. Although nothing has been confirmed about Cash joining the MCU’s X-Men squad, it will be fascinating to see how she brings these iconic characters to life.
Though Stormfront is frightening, it’s obvious that Aya Cash is at ease playing superheroes. Although Jean Grey, Rogue, and Beast have all been depicted in live-action films before, Cash will undoubtedly give these Marvel characters their own unique spin. Although Cash has projects like The Boys and Scare Me to keep her occupied, dressing up as one of the X-Men will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
