Cyberpunk 2077 DLC may be coming, but there is no telling if the troubled CD Project Red can recover.
For anyone that has not demanded a refund for their copy of Cyberpunk 2077 should have new material to experience in Night City early this year if what was found is true. An NME article suggests that this page on the game’s website was live and said that the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC would reach Night City in “early 2021,” but considering the game’s slipping release date and the need for updates, that might still alter or mean something closer to summer instead of January.
When taking a look at the Internet Archive. It revealed that the page went live at the same time that the game was released, but it didn’t gain any interest until the last few days. The most immediate changes are the two fixes CD Projekt Red promised. CD said they would fix problems on last-gen consoles that are expected to ship in January and February, although the deadlines for technical improvements to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S have not yet been announced.
By contrast, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt earned 16 free add-on packs that featured new hairstyles, armor and side quests. The two expansions introduced a large amount of additional content including all-new settings, stories and gameplay modes spanning 20-30 hour campaigns. It is unclear what the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC will entail, but we all want what was promised.
