Doraemon and Gucci Collaboration were selected by the brand’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele.
Born on September 3rd, 2112, a cat-type robot was sent from the 22nd century to help a young boy named Nobita with hidden devices from his four-dimensional pouch. Doraemon, a playful character, hates mice and enjoys Dorayaki, a delicious pancake.
GUCCI hired photographer Angelo Pennett to create a playful photoshoot for the Doraemon and Gucci series, featuring smiling models joined by Doraemon inside the retro home.
The limited Doraemon and Gucci line contains over 50 items from t-shirts and hoodies, sneakers, belts, headwear, suitcases, and more. Each piece blends the trendy styling of GUCCI with the vivid blue and white color of the Iconic manga character.
Every item in the line-up arrives in sustainable packaging made from 100% recycled materials. GUCCI stores in Japan, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam will also welcome figures and prints inspired by the cities in these countries. The Shanghai and Hong Kong GUCCI art walls will also feature Doraemon against a GG backdrop.
The collection was launched on GUCCI’s official website worldwide and will be sold to Japan on January 20. The GUCCI store in Shibuya PARCO will be filled with promo posters, and the Ginza, Aoyama, Shinjuku, and Nagoya branches will display the emblem of the Anywhere Door Manga series.
