Gotham PD, Spinoff of Robert Pattinson’s Batman

Batman director Matt Reeves is developing a TV show spinoff from Robert Pattinson ‘s franchise for HBO Max which focuses on the Gotham PD.

The series will be directed by Reeves and Terrence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), and for the feature film “The Batman,” Reeves is creating “will be set in the future,” with the goal of introducing a new Batman universe through several platforms. It is said to draw on the film’s exploration of the crime mythology in Gotham City. The Show is said to focus on how corruption comes about and flourishes in Gotham. This comes on the heels of a deal that said to include a trilogy of Batman films and introduce characters such as the riddler, penguin and various other villains as well as other characters such as those played by Zoe Kravitz (catwoman) and commissioner Gordon played by Jeffrey Wright.

This is an amazing opportunity, not only to expand the vision of the world I am creating in the film, but to explore it in the kind of depth and detail that only a longform format can afford — and getting to work with the incredibly talented Terence Winter, who has written so insightfully and powerfully about worlds of crime and corruption, is an absolute dream
