Welcome back to the Indie Spotlight showcase! My name is Alexander Trapp and I’ll take you through the Indie Monday twitter thread from this past Monday, June 22nd, 2020, where you can see the latest works of some amazing independent artists and content creators!
Let’s get into this!
In the world of gaming, we have this great compilation from YouTuber/Twitch user Gilien The Noble! In this video he covers his gaming sessions from Elder Scrolls Online, XCOM 2, For Honor, and more! Gilien plays all kinds of games on his channel, ranging from RPGs, action adventure games, and card games as well. Subscribe to his YouTube channel, follow his Twitch channel for his live streams, and you will be guaranteed to have a good time!

For today’s art showcase, I’d like to point you in the direction of Dark Gift Comics on Twitter and YouTube. Though a great musician in his own right, he also has an art book on sale online that he’d like to point your attention to. In these samples of his artwork, you can see his skill as he captures both Batman and Freddy Krueger in expert detail!

Featuring the campaign of the independent comic series FALLEN, today’s showcase is happy to report that this project has been one hundred percent funded! The campaign still has some days left in it, 23 days as of the date of this publication, and if you’re into genres like fantasy, crime, and action, this comic might be the one for you to check out. Here’s a summary of the comic as written by it’s creator;
“FALLEN #2 is a 22 page, full colour second issue of an ongoing series printed on standard American sized comic format on high quality paper. Fallen will blend the genres of mystery and fantasy by creating a thrilling mythological detective story. The story takes place in the vibrant, synth-pop filled era of the 1980’s in the loud, crowded streets of New York City.”

I normally feature this second, but today I wanted to bring attention to this as the last part of the spotlight. My friend DenomRS is a master of many trades, but today he is putting his game development abilities on full display with a prototype demo of a fighting game he put together about 2 years ago. He featured it during the last Indie Monday promotion, so I’m bringing it here to your attention today!
This demo, called Nameless’s Tournament, features original characters that Denom created, battling it out in a 2D tournament fighter genre game reminiscent of the Street Fighter series. Give the video a watch by clicking on the picture above and let Denom know what you think!
And that’s it for the Indie Monday Highlight from this past week! This was just a small sampling of the content that was shown from a group of amazing creators. If you want to see the rest of what the promotion had to offer from this past week, click the link below and help to spread the word of Indie Monday by telling your friends about it! Share it with other independent creators that you know!
If you want to join the Indie Monday Promotion and Showcase the next time it’s hosted, or you just want to help spread the word of when it takes place, be sure to follow my Twitter and YouTube channels. As the name of the promotion suggests, it takes place every Monday. I would be happy to have you there. My channel tries to focus just on the atmosphere of fun and creativity, and I try to keep things relatively drama free. We focus on the positive and help bring attention to amazing creators who are trying to have their voices be heard.
Thank you for your time. Remember, independent creators are the future of entertainment!
