Apple is developing a James Bond documentary about the soundtrack of one of the major movie properties, following the success of a series of documentaries about the music industry. The Sound of 007, a full documentary chronicling the illustrious history of James Bond music over half a century, has been introduced by Apple. This is according to Deadline.

The documentary, produced by MGM, EON Productions, and Ventureland, will premiere on Apple TV+ in October 2022 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise.

The documentary will take viewers behind the scenes of one of the greatest film franchises in history, from the creation of Dr. No and the classic 007 theme tune through No Time to Die, merging personal interviews with spectacular Bond archive footage.

The doc will join a stellar slate of award-winning documentaries and docuseries, including Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize Award-winning Boys StateThe Me You Can’t See, a multi-part documentary series from co-creators and executive producers Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry; 1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything, a new docuseries which shows how the musical icons of the time were influenced by the changing tides of history and more.
