Looking Ahead: The Future of Miracleman in 2022 – May End Up in the MCU as Frenzied Fans Are Hoping For

Miracleman is “The future of the Marvel universe – unveiled!” Timeless #1 promises so. Thats because the story’s final scenes have offered fans even more than they expected, with a startling and major great update to Marvel mythology – from beyond the MCU itself.

Not only will Marvel resume and end Neil Gaiman/Mark Buckingham’s Miracleman arc in 2022, the fortieth anniversary of the resurrection in Warrior Magazine, but Miracleman will also be integrated into the Marvel Universe in some way. They will also publish an omnibus of Alan Moore/Garry Leach/Alan Davis/Chuck Austen/Rick Veitch/John Totleben’s full series.

Alan Moore is one of the most prominent comic book creators in existence. He’s credited for many of the advances in the comic industry over the years, delivering a level of sophistication to the medium that had never been seen before. Watchmen, a publication that has gone down in history as not only one of the greatest stories of all time, but also one of the best works of literature of the twentieth century, is one of the best examples of this (according to Time Magazine).

Kang leads Petrov on a voyage across time and space to meet Doctor Doom of a “pirate” reality in Timeless, and along the way, he provides the historian with tantalizing glimpses of events (i.e., Marvel storylines) that are about to happen. But none of them compared to the book’s final, surprise twist. “But what lingers with me most are the visions of the alternative futures we witnessed on Oracle Base […] why is this specific vision engraved on my mind,” Petrov says on the comic’s final page, as he reads from his travel notebook. And, undeniably, the hero Miracleman’s logo appears in the publication in front of him.

This easter egg comes just in time for the 40th year celebration of the superhero. Marvel is also promoting that so this all makes since and making into the MCU is not as far-fetched as it may have at one time seemed.

This extraordinary collection will house the influential work on the character of all of its legendary creators such as Alan Davis, Garry Leach, John Totleben, and more. Fans and comic book history aficionados will finally get a chance to uncover Miracleman’s origins, his incredible feats and the everyday struggles of his alter-ego, freelance reporter Michael Moran, who must reconcile his life as the lesser half of a god in glorious Omnibus format. Considered one of the medium’s greatest masterpieces, Miracleman’s adventures launched a new wave of comic book storytelling and its extraordinary impact on the Superhero genre is still felt to this day.

New Synopsis:

Moran was the product of a secret government project that had merged him and his young sidekicks to ultra-powerful alien bodies – his joyful Golden Age escapades were nothing more than a virtual environment playing out in his brain. In the meantime, Johnny Bates’ power-hungry extraterrestrial alter ego had completely absorbed him. Miracleman encounters and kills Bates in the terrible and legendary climax of the run, in a battle that ruins London, and the world is rebuilt in Miracleman’s vision.
