The film concerns a “relentlessly determined Egyptologist” who, while looking for the mysteries of a long-buried prophesy, unintentionally awakens an ancient evil and must combat devilish spirits, a dark cult, and the gods themselves to preserve the planet and the woman he cherishes, based on Karim’s original idea.

Karim will play one of the leads in the film. Thomas M. Hewlett will write the screenplay based on Karim’s original idea. Alex Mace, Hal Sadoff and Ethan Erwin of Dark Castle Entertainment will produce Book of Chaos.

The action-thriller A Day To Die, starring Bruce Willis, Frank Grillo, Leon, and Kevin Dillon, will be released in January 2022. It will be Bruce’s final installment in the series. Mohamed Karim, the actor who starred alongside Nicolas Cage in the 2019 film A Score To Settle, appears alongside Willis.

The story follows a vilified parole officer who is in debt to a local gang leader and is forced to pull off a collection of serious drug heists in under 12 hours in order to pay back his debts, liberate his imprisoned pregnant wife, and resolve a score with the city’s morally bankrupt police chief (Willis), who is operating with the gang leader and double-crossed him years previously.

Dark Castle, a branch of the Katz Group, was founded in 1998 by Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis, and Gilbert Adler and has produced horror films such as Halle Berry and Robert Downey Jr.’s Gothika (2003) and Jaume Collet-Serra’s (2009) Orphan. In 2017, the organization relaunched. Since then, Simon Barrett’s film debut, Seance, has been released, as has William Brent Bell’s impending Orphan prequel, Orphan: First Kill.
