Take up arms and head to the Stronghold in Monster Hunter Rise!
In today’s Nintendo Direct, the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Rise was unveiled showing new monsters, returning favorites, two new locations, and glimpses of the looming Rampage. The dramatic trailer features first glances at the new Rakna-Kadaki and Almudron monsters, five returning monsters, and the Kamura Village residents banding together to fend off the incoming Rampage. Hunters will be able to discover the recently revealed Lava Caverns and sun-scorched Sandy Plains after leaving the settlement, in addition to the previously disclosed hunting locations, when the game arrives on Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021.
In Monster Hunter Rise you will meet the fearsome Rakna-Kadaki as hunters investigating the origins of the incoming Rampage. The Rakna-Kadaki, masking its appendages in a white shroud, wraps its body within the thread. This thread is often used to block the movements of hunters, rooting them in place until Rakna-Kadaki spews a combustible gas from its maw. Though Rakna-Kadaki alone is a fierce hunter, to assist his movements and help catch his prey, it is also known to bring its Rachnoid larvae in tow. In the cracks and crags of the once molten stone of the Lava Caverns, Rakna-Kadaki and its brood make their home.
Hunters will also have to contend with a number of returning monsters while braving the Lava Caverns and Sandy Plains, including the “Queen of the Land” Rathian, territorial Diablos, easily enraged Rajang, the “Rock Wyvern” Basarios, and rapidly rotating Volvidon.
In addition to the Monster Hunter Rise MSRP $59.99 for its Standard Edition (physical and digital), there will also be a special MSRP $69.99 Deluxe Edition, as well as a digital DLC pack voucher that can be exchanged for bonus in-game content such as a complete layered armor package, exclusive gestures, cosmetic items and more.
