The Cosmic Horror Game You Never Knew You Wanted!

The company Funcom along with developer Rock Pocket Games have teamed up to create a cosmic horror game named ‘Moons of Madness.’

This game exists in the same universe as the game Secret World Legends. The people at Funcom ay that it is not necessary for you to actually play SWL in order to love this game. By the looks of things that seems to be very true. Just take a look at the trailer below.

“In Moons of Madness you play Shane Newehart, a technician stationed at the Invictus, a secret research base built by the Orochi group,” reads the description of the game sent via press release. “Your low-security clearance means you are completely unaware of the existence of a mysterious, intelligent signal that has been detected as coming from the red planet…Soon you discover strange and unusual setbacks. Crucial systems are malfunctioning, the greenhouse is filled with a strange mist and the rest of your team has yet to return from their EVA mission. You begin seeing and hearing things that aren’t there. Visions, hallucinations – or is that even what it is? Is this real… or are you slowly descending into madness?”

Everyone is saying this is a Lovecraft style horror game. While we can see how some in this space may draw comparisons, we are going to reserve that until we get our hands on it. This game looks exciting and has the potential to stand on its own instead of being lumped in with the other horror games being released as of late. However, we want to hear from you. After watching the trailer what are your thoughts on this game? is it something you would grab? Which gaming platform do you have? Let us discuss.
