We would like to get new games. We do, but I mean why do that when we can just remaster a game. EA has resurrected its engines for the remastered edition of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. It will land on PC , Xbox One, and PS4 on November 6th, almost 10 years from the date of release of the original game. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will come to the Nintendo Switch a week later.
Depending on your specifications, 4K/60 FPS is supported on PC, and players can choose between 4K/30 FPS or 1080p/60 FPS on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Base versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will run the game at 1080p/30 FPS. In addition to the listed improvements for the Nintendo Switch version, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions are also updated with upressed UI, higher resolution reflections, boosted textures, more particles, and improved AA/SSAO.
There are more milestones, car colors and covers, as well as reduced hard stops, remodeled picture mode and other quality-of – life improvements. Both major DLCs, which provide six additional hours of gameplay and hundreds more challenges, are included and available on release day.
Is this another cash grab? Why remaster games? What goes into choosing which one get remastered? We wonder sometimes where the creativity has gone in gaming. There are creative games out there. Just look at the steam store as an example. Why do they not get this kind of recognition? What are your thoughts on this remaster? We want to hear from you.
