Nescafe Sleep Cafe is Open for Business in Japan

Nescafe Sleep Cafe Geek impulse

Offering a customizable chair or bed, pillow, and lighting, plus more coffee than is probably safe to drink

The powerhouse brand from Nestle known as Nescafe recently opened their first permanent Nap Cafe. The cafe is nestled in Oimachi, Japan in the business district of Shinagawa on March 6th. Nescafe Sleep Cafe, as its officially called, will provide many different amenities. Nescafe’s Gold Blend coffee will be featured on site. You can also get a nap for 30 minutes to a full 3 hours to sleep. They provide leather reclining chairs and bed, the choice is yours to make which you would prefer. There had previously been 3 pop-up cafes that blended sleep and coffee, our guess is that it went really well since they have now opened the permanent one in Oimachi.

Though the images they sent during a press release look as though they were going for the whole luxury meets futuristic vibes, it doesn’t exactly feel that way in real life. It is definitely a huge step up from your internet manga cafes. The place provides a nice getaway from the crowds of people and tourists in Tokyo.

According to Grape Japan:

Wake up service

Since you must leave at the end of the time you have chosen, the attendant will come and wake you (at a time of you choosing, usually five to ten minutes before), so you have enough time to get dressed (if you choose to remove some of your clothes) and drink a cup of Nescafe Gold Blend Deep Roast which will be placed on your bedside table.
