Since a huge film set for a new spin-off Obi Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor landed at an abandoned quarry, angry villagers have slammed Star Wars bosses – and the set could stay there for three years.
To film the forthcoming Star War spin-off TV series about Obi-Wan Kenobi, Disney set up a big set in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Drone footage of the old Buckinghamshire quarry reveals the set of a recent spinoff of Star Wars.
Filming is scheduled to begin in March, but villagers in nearby Little Marlow have already raised worries over traffic and light pollution caused by the advent of the science fiction show.
To make space for the crew, large marquees have also been raised.
One insider told The Sun: ‘This is a big production and an extremely profitable franchise, but not everybody is excited to see Disney coming in locally, clearly. It might build some employment, but this is a fairly rural region that has always been calm and quiet.’ They go on to say ‘the thought of turning it into some sort of intergalactic war zone to make TV shows is horrifying.’
