With a new promo for the newest addition to the Arrowverse, the CW is aiming to make Super Bowl Sunday a little bit extra super with Superman and Lois.
The Kent family is at the forefront of this latest preview for Superman and Lois, which premieres with a two-hour event on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8/7c. “And things are far from “all right now,” despite what the soundtrack could be alluding to. Watch the minute-long video below:
The new spot for Superman and Lois reveals that Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s (Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch) sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin) discover the truth about the identity of Superman and feel pretty misled by their very absent father, at least in the case of Jordan (who doesn’t exist in the comics, while Jon super does). The work-life balance, even for the Man of Steel, is hard.
” I find that the new suit is representative of the show. Just as this suit is unique and set apart from the ones that preceded it, the story we’re telling about Clark/Superman at this point in his life is unique and something we’ve never seen before,” explains Tyler Hoechlin. The actor goes on to say, “I appreciate the opportunity to wear the suit and the responsibility that comes with it. But it’s always interesting when I’m asked how I feel about “my new suit,” because I’ve always felt that the suit doesn’t belong to me; it belongs to everyone that finds some kind of meaning in that suit, in the symbol on the chest. “
The Season 1 Episode 1 synopsis reads as follows:
