That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is having an event to celebrate 10,000,000 copies sold. Visit the official site here.
Since the anime’s premiere in October 2018, the reception has been huge, and in celebration, they are holding an event in Tokyo from March 27th until April 9th in Matsuya Ginza 8th Floor Event Square.
The event is designed to feel as though you are a part of the Tempest family (the last name of the main character), and that you have walked into Rimuru’s village. The event promises to have an abundance of things to do, including a meet the characters area, an illustrations area, photo spots, and even a VR experience of the scene in which Rimure meets the dragon, Veldora.
Adult tickets are 800 yen pre-booked, or 1000 yen on the door. You can pay a little more (1300 yen, and 1500 yen respectively) to get a die cut notebook of Slime Rimuru, too. Tickets can be bought here. The VR and the audio guide cost extra, and together are about the same as the ticket itself.
There is, of course, plenty of merchandise available. Our favorite is this giant slime plush, available to order at the event itself! At 12,000 it’s quite pricey, but will be your companion and guardian forever… If you’re a fan of Tensura, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Dates: March 27th – April 9th 2019
Times: 10am – 8pm, last entry 30 minutes prior. Final day closes at 5pm.
Address: Matsuya Ginza 8th Floor Event Square, Tokyo, Chuo-ku, Ginza, 3-6-1 / 松屋銀座8階イベントスクエア(東京都中央区銀座3-6-1)
