Wonder Woman 1984 Spoilers Ahead So Proceed With Caution
Since Patty Jenkins’ first comic book film became one of the Warner Bros franchise’s most impressive superhero origin movies, it was a long three years for DC fans waiting for Wonder Woman 1984. But there are roughly 65 years from coming to the outside world at the end of World War I to her ’80s shopping mall lasso of truth scene grabbing petty thieves, in terms of Diana Prince’s own timeline.
Was Diana Prince Involved In Other Significant American Events?
Taking Wonder Woman to the ’80s was a natural choice for the production, particularly given the many fans associating the hero with the Lynda Carter TV show just before that time. It also makes a lot of sense for the Dreamstone to be an item that would become strong in that period, as American consumerism also characterizes the ’80s.
Did She Ever Return to Themyscira?
Diana Prince grew up on a hidden island called Themyscira in the Bermuda Triangle, which is surrounded by Invisible barriers that hide any view of the island and is inhabited only by female warriors. Back in 1918, when Steve Trevor landed there, Diana leaves her home and goes on her journey to battle Ares. In the new film, we find out that She lives in Washington D.C. and works at the Smithsonian. Aside from fighting crime, she lives a rather isolated life.
After WWI, did Diana stay with Etta Candy?
A sweet picture of her posing with an aged Etta Candy on a ferry or boat was one tidbit that shots from around Diana’s apartment showed us. It was one of the few connections we got to her history in Wonder Woman in 1984.
After Steve Trevor, has she seriously declined to date anybody?
Most of Wonder Woman 1984 focuses on Diana learning to move on through her Dreamstone wish from Steve Trevor, which brings him back, but in a very weird way. She tells her that she’s only been in love once (with Steve) when she has lunch with Barbara at the beginning of the film, and if guys flirt or even look her way (before the end of the film), she brushes them off like dandruff.
How in the heck does wonder woman keep a low profile?
How is it that nobody knows she exists? The beginning of the movie. She pulls out the surveillance cameras when Diana brings down those guys at the mall, but she makes a pretty big scene and some kids see her. The news noticed she was helping out around the area but didn’t anyone try to get her description or remember her face?
