Yui Makino released her new digital single “Touch of Hope”

Yui Makino in collaboration with The “Girl from the Other Side”, a feature-length animation based on a Japanese manga series by Nagabe that was completed in March of last year, has a theme song called “Touch of Hope.” During this nice, mellow ballad, her silky, clear voice will touch your heart. Layer after layer of sound is layered as the song goes, giving this masterpiece a gigantic scale.

The Girl from the Other Side was released as a short art animation in 2019 and received positive reviews at national and international film festivals. Wit Studio produced the feature-length animation, which was directed by Yutaro Kubo and Satomi Maiya. Wit Studio ran a crowdfunding effort to raise funds for this production from March to May of last year, and the goal of 3 million yen was met in under four hours. In the end, 1,418 users contributed nearly 20 million yen to the campaign.

Makino has also revealed that she will release a new album under the FlyingDog label in 2022. More details will be revealed at a later time, so stay tuned to Yui! you can find her music here.
